# Rung

> Rung (https://dailyrung.com) is a free daily word game of nerve by Dreamwake Labs LLC. One hidden everyday answer is revealed through five clues that descend from cryptic to nearly obvious, worth 5 down to 1 points. Guess early to score big: a wrong guess burns two rungs, while a safe skip drops just one. Same puzzle for everyone, a new one each day at midnight. No account, no ads, free forever.

## How it works
- Five clues, one answer, always an everyday word everyone knows (like BANANA or THUNDER).
- Clue 1 is worth 5 points and nearly impossible; clue 5 is worth 1 point and nearly a giveaway.
- Guess right: bank the current points, done for the day. Guess wrong: that clue burns and you fall two rungs. Skip: fall one rung safely.
- Results share as a spoiler-free emoji ladder (green for the winning clue, red for burns, white for skips) plus a fire emoji for win streaks of 3 or more.
- Each day ends with a surprising true fact about the answer.
- Where Wordle is deduction, Rung is timing: the whole game is deciding when you trust yourself enough to commit. A typical game takes 2 to 3 minutes.
